Terms of service
Gekko & Fox is a free weekly reading of the market, published for anyone to read. These terms say what it is, what it is not, and what you may do with it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. What Gekko & Fox is
Every week Gekko & Fox publishes an issue: a state for the market, for eleven sectors and for the layers of the AI stack, computed from prices, breadth, liquidity and positioning by a fixed, published method; a written reading of those numbers; the conditions that would change the view; and a running record of how earlier states turned out. On the evenings between, after each US session, a daily "After the close" reads the week's issue against that day's closes — the same states, triggers and watch list, graded by code, with a short comment; no new call is made in it. The method is published on the methodology page; each issue lists the sources behind its written half, dated, under "Sources", with the method and universe versions it was computed on and when it was published. It is published in English, for a general audience, and it is free.
2. Not investment advice
Everything on the site is general information and opinion. It is not investment advice, not a personal recommendation, and not an offer or a solicitation to buy, sell or hold any security, fund or other financial instrument. It is written without any knowledge of your circumstances, objectives, finances or appetite for risk, and it does not take them into account.
The publisher is not an investment firm, bank, broker or investment adviser. It is not authorized or supervised by Finansinspektionen or by any other financial regulator. It does not manage money, hold client assets or execute trades, and no client, advisory or fiduciary relationship arises from your reading the site, however often you read it.
A state, a trigger or a "call" is a reading of data by a published method. It carries the horizon it is read for and is scored afterward against what followed, so that the method can be judged; it is not a promise of what will happen, and no state, however strong, means that anything will. The report names companies and funds because they are the members of what it measures, not because it recommends them. Any decision to invest is yours alone; take advice from a licensed adviser if you need it. The value of investments can fall as well as rise, you may lose the whole amount you invest, and past performance is no guide to future results.
3. The track record is a calculation
The "Track record" section scores each published state against the price return that followed it, as the method defines: equal-weight baskets, price returns without dividends, no costs, taxes, fees or slippage, and no actual positions. It is a calculation on published numbers, not the result of trading, and it does not mean that anyone, including the publisher, achieved those results. Anyone acting on the report would have had different results. The record begins with the first live issue; nothing produced with hindsight is in it.
4. How an issue is made, and its limits
The states are computed from market data and public statistics named in the method. The written half is drafted with the help of AI language models from the computed board and from dated sources and checked by code against the numbers. The Sunday draft is sent to a person hours before it publishes, who can hold it; the daily is produced and published by code, and its comment is checked by code against the document it comments on. An issue may adjust an area's state by at most ten points, with a cited and dated source, and the issue shows where it did.
Mistakes are possible at every step. A data provider's error reaches the board; a source can be wrong; a model can misread; a person can miss it. Historical context uses the index membership current when it was computed, so survivorship bias is present and is disclosed rather than corrected. We may correct the wording of a published issue; its scores, its inputs and its publication date are never changed afterwards. A daily's closes are re-read against the provider after publication and corrected where they differ, and the daily says so where that happened. We do not promise that any issue is accurate, complete or current, and nothing on the site should be relied on as such.
5. Disclosures
Gekko & Fox is produced by the publisher named at the end of these terms, for the public. Each issue states the Sunday it is as of and the sources it rests on. The method and the universe it is applied to are versioned, and every issue records which versions produced it.
The publisher is paid by no company, fund or issuer the report names. The site carries no advertising, sponsorship or paid placement today; should it ever carry advertising, it will be marked as such, no advertiser will have a say in what the report says, and the issue concerned will say so. That the people who make the report may hold positions in what it measures, and the rule on trading around publication, are on the disclosures page.
6. Using the content
The issues, the method, the text and the design of the site belong to the publisher and are protected by copyright. You may read them, print them, save them for your own use, share links to them, and quote short passages, with "Gekko & Fox" named as the source and a link to the issue. Search engines, AI assistants and other automated systems may read, index and quote the site on the same terms: name the source, link the issue.
You may not republish an issue or a substantial part of one, sell or license the content, remove its attribution, present it as your own, use the Gekko & Fox name or wordmark in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation, extract the site systematically to build a competing product, or use the content for any unlawful end, including to manipulate a market. Market prices and other data shown on the site are the property of their providers and are not licensed onward by us; each source cited belongs to its publisher.
7. Third parties
An issue links to sources, to the sites of companies it names, and to data providers. We do not control those sites, we do not endorse them, and their content and terms are their own. The data providers and public bodies whose data the method uses are named in the method; the states and readings built on that data are ours, not theirs.
8. Availability and changes
The site is provided as it is and as it is available. We may change, delay, suspend or stop it, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. We do not promise to publish on any day or at any interval. The method may change; a change produces a new version, and every issue keeps the version that produced it. We may change these terms; the date at the top is the date of the version in force, and using the site after a change is acceptance of it.
9. No warranty
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and everything on it are provided without any warranty, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, fitness for any purpose, or non-infringement. Market data may be delayed, revised or wrong.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, the site or anything on it, including investment losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, and indirect or consequential loss, whether in contract, tort or otherwise. Where liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, it is limited to SEK 1 000 in total.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including mandatory consumer law.
11. Your conduct
You may use the site only lawfully. You may not attack, overload or interfere with it, probe or circumvent its protections, or read it with automated tools at a rate that burdens it. Reasonable automated reading, as described in section 6, is welcome.
12. Your account
You need no account to read the site. You may sign in with your email address, or with Google or Apple where offered, and an account is then kept for that address: one account per address, personal to you. A sign-in code sent to your address is for you alone; do not pass it on, and tell us if you believe someone else has used your account. We may close an account that is used to attack the site or to break these terms. You may delete your account at any time by writing to us. The site is free today; if a paid service is ever offered, it will have its own terms.
13. Privacy
What the site knows about its readers, which is little, is described in the privacy policy.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are settled by the Swedish courts, with Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may bring a claim in its courts. If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the rest remain in force. These terms are written in English, and the English text governs.
